Liberty Bell Open Chess and Obama
For the last few weeks I’ve been in Vegas playing poker and chess. Apologies for not moderating comments, but I haven’t been online in weeks. A few days ago I headed back east for the Liberty Bell Open Chess Championship in Philadelphia, January 16-20. At these chess tournaments they have various schedules to accommodate the players. I was supposed to play in the full 4 day schedule which allows all of my games to be played at a slow time control of 40 moves in 2 hours – per player – and then sudden death of one hour each. So the games are potentially six hours long.
At this tournament, The Liberty Bell Open, I was supposed to play round 1 at 7PM on Friday January 16 and then two rounds a day for the next three days. But the weather was so bad travelling cross country that it caused me to delay my arrival in Philadelphia by one day. I got there on Saturday January 17 and was forced to play in a faster schedule. [All the schedules merge for rounds 5-7 at the slow chess time control.]
The tournament was played at the Sheraton City Center Hotel in Philadelphia. Now check this out… as I’m checking in at the tournament director’s office, the buzz going around the hotel is that Obama had just checked out of the hotel a few hours earlier that morning. He spent the previous night there along with three floors of Secret Service, CIA, FBI, local police and big black dogs. Wow. I couldn’t believe it. I am so happy for the weather. Could you imagine the scene watching my chess game in round 1 had I made it there on time?

Chances of an Obama sighting diminished as the night wore on at the Sheraton, where police milled about in black trench coats and fierce-looking black police dogs padded with handlers along the gleaming marble floors.
Having been totally freaked out by this weird turn of events, I then went on to take 1st place in my section at the Liberty Bell Open Chess Championships. Check out the cross tables.
Poker success has come fairly fast and easy for me, but I’ve been playing chess tournaments for 25 years and this was the first time I took first place in a significant event. It came with a nice paycheck of $704.50.
I guess I was inspired by the coincidence that I missed.
As for the inauguration, I couldn’t help but wonder why they didn’t swear Obama in before noon as is required by law. And the butchering of the oath of office was absolutely surreal having listened to it on the radio live in my car.
But all I really want to say at this point in time is that I pray Obama feels a genuine sense of humility for the incredible faith people have put in him. Now that he’s in the office, I hope he does good things with the power and that it humbles him. I’m very happy for the African American community as well. While I will never believe Obama (or McCain) were eligible under the Constitution, I do believe this event will empower and heal some wounds from the blight of slavery.
I fought for the Constitution. I lost. I hope the Constitution wins in the end. Please be a good President Mr. Obama. God knows we need one. Peace to all.

As for the afternoon swearing with the double bungle in the beltway jungle, perhaps The Other One knows One can’t be prosecuted for what One never actually said, especially never having said it by the time it was supposed to be said. (with a wink wink saynomore for Roberts)
Perhaps are transitioning from a more perfect union to a more perfect ambiguity.
There have been several British Citizens who made great American Presidents, though its been quite some time. I do hope Obama makes an exceptionally good one.
I especially wish him well charming the psychopaths, pit vipers and copperheads in that fetid septic swamp some call “Congress.”
What good is freedom when you have no liberty?

[Ed. Lawyer - I was just about to log a post about this when I read your comment. He didn't recite the oath as given in the Constitution. You're correct. Accidental? I don't know. They also waited until well after noon. It seems more like a purposeful disrespect than an accident. It's hard to imagine Obama, an excellent public speaker, messing it up this bad. It was totally butchered. And like the SCOTUS releasing Cort's case conference date an hour after my case was denied... it feels like they - SCOTUS and POTUS - are mocking the Constitution and we the people. I have no faith in our Government. It's like a cult. And we the people are not members. Don't matter though. In the end, Love will kick ass. That's the way the story ends. ]

Article II, Section 1, Clause 8 states: Before [the POTUS] enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation – “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

The Oath administered was incorrectly stated by both Chief Justice Roberts and Obama and is no where in the Constitution. What does this mean? Did Chief Justice do this on purpose fully knowing that Obama is the UIC (Usurper in Chief)?
Did he do this to absolve himself of administering a perjured oath so that he can allow this fictitious usurper to get it and then remove him when evidence is shown that he does not qualify as a natural born citizen under Article II, Section 1, Clause 5?
This is interesting to say the least.

Congrats on the win, Leo, but I think this nation just lost the most important chess game in our history. Thanks again for all your efforts to uphold the Constitution. There are those out there that believe that a barrage of lawsuits will follow now that Obama has been coronated, and who knows – maybe one of them will take at a lower level so the SCOTUS has to hear it to try to keep their man in office. It will be interesting to see how America and the world handle this crisis. I pray for the best and expect the worst.

As a dedicated self trader in the market, observers can’t help but notice that the market dropped over 300 points today following a bad week of losses. Doesn’t show much confidence in BO.
As I have much confidence in American ingenuity, hopefully Obama will succeed for the benefit of the Country, inspite of his less than desireable friends.

[Ed. The oath should have been taken before noon. I was listening to NPR and they were also saying, "As long as he's sworn in by noon, it's all good with the Constitution." There was no need to wait until after noon. It just seems like disrespect for the Constitution. That's the way it feels to me anyway. same thing with the oath. he should take it again.]
Nowhere does it state the oath must be given before noon. Law states that the president elect will become the president at noon whether the oath is given or not.

I recently heard a comment worth repeating here. In terms analogous our present condition, the fact that a bank robber may have gotten away with his crime, it doesn’t make the law against bank robbery a moot point. We are a nation of laws where the arm of the law is sometimes long.
America slumbers in a gigantically ignorant peace. I pray that when it wakes up that its anger is placed where blame is due, on the perpetrator-in-chief.
Your empathy, Leo, towards those who innocently perceive positive attributes in BHO is commendable. I myself encounter so many who projecton to him good things and, were moved to vote for him. Unless it is BHO’s misguiding Marxist philosophy they admire, I can respect them and forgive their lack of information.
Leo, you continue to demonstrate that you are not moved by hatred of BHO, the man, but by love for law and country. Yours is an example I will follow.
Our founding laws are the reason for our great success as a nation of free people. There is no shame in enforcing them. In fact to enforce them will, in spite of the apparent dangers, make us a stronger people.

Hi Leo, Glad to see you’re back.
Many, many people know that you did a GREAT job on this, but what we all failed to see was that the Republican and Democrat parties we thought we have are, and have been, one combined party. A thorough investigation and logical analysis has made this perfectly clear. Even in this day of bailoutnomics, 2+2 still = 4.
The deck was always stacked against you and the rest of us, and it still is – ultimate purpose unknown (now the conspiracy theorists can come in with the most likely purposes).
A few good things have come of this. In no particular order: 1) Many eyes are now upon the federal government 2) Many people are becoming interested and involved with government at different levels…hopefully our future representatives and leaders 3) People will, for a while at least, be paying much more attention to elections (if we have any more), and who’s running 4) The Republicratic Party that now runs everything with full knowledge of their Constitutional violations shouldn’t be able to make any detremental changes without a lot of people crying foul (of course, they just got away with the bid one, so who knows).
At some point, the truth will emerge, but if it happened right now, I think a vast minority (yes, minority) will say “SO WHAT!” and the majority will say “I guess we’ll have to grin and bear it for four years.” Of course, that’s what they said in Venezuela in 1998, and Chavez is STILL in there!

Joe Biden.
He was the Acting President for at least 5 minutes under either the Constitution’s Article 2 or the Constitution’s 20th Amendment, from 12:00 Noon 1/20/09, having already taken his Oath of Office and before Obama completed his ‘oath’ at approximately 12:05 PM, 1/20/09. Under the 20th Amendment if the President-elect shall have failed to qualify, or alternatively under Article 2 if the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term, being 12:00 Noon 1/20/09, which ability and/or qualification includes that he take the Article 2 oath “before he enter on the execution of his office,” then either the Presidency shall devolve on the Vice President under Article 2 or the Vice President shall act as President under the 20th Amendment.
Here’s why this may be significant. If a subsequent Supreme Court ruling disqualifies Obama as not being an Article 2 “natural born citizen”, Biden’s automatic succession to the Presidency could be predicated upon either and/or both having been Vice President under Article 2 or, if that be deemed problematic because Obama’s unlawful Presidency is nullified, Vice President-elect under the 20th Amendment.

[Ed. Last time I looked I didn't have a FIDE rating. I believe I had a provisional FIDE rating at one time, but I didn't complete the full nine games within one year. I almost closed the deal when I had a 2155 performance Rating once in the UMBC Open where I beat a FIDE 2284, Beat a FIDE 2080, lost to a FIDE 2155 and drew a USCF player rated 1949 but the 1949 didn't have a FIDE rating and you have to play four FIDE rated players in one tournament to close the deal. I used to play in the Open section for the experience but lately I've been trying to win my own section. Now that I have I'll move up to a higher section, and I'll get the FIDE rating one day.]

I have decided that I can accept President Obama in the same sense that I accept the reality of Roe v. Wade. Both represent “the Law of the Land” in that both are recognized as such by erroneous judgment of the United States Supreme Court. The latter was “an exercise in raw judicial power” and the former is an exercise in raw judicial impotence.

Leo, in light of your above “Ed.” to my comment, Biden already having taken his VP Oath means his succession to the Presidency would not need a separate or new Presidential Oath. (Remember LBJ taking the Oath in the Airplane after JFK’s assisination; this was later shown to be merely a staged photo op event since LBJ had already automatically become the President on JFK’s death.)

Constitutional Scholars: Obama Should Retake Oath
A San Francisco Chronicle story today cites several constitutional scholars as saying President Barack Obama should retake his oath of office because of the misstatement of it by Chief Justice John Roberts. “In giving the oath, Roberts misplaced the word “faithfully,” at which point Obama paused quizzically. Roberts then corrected himself, but Obama repeated the words as Roberts initially said them.”
This would not be a first according to the story. Both Presidents Calvin Coolidge and Chester Arthur did so under similar circumstances. Ironically, Chester Arthur was probably the first and only other president until Obama to skirt the constitutional requirement that a president be a natural born citizen. Arthur lied about his date of birth because his father had not yet become a U.S. citizen at the time of his birth, a fundamental requirement for being a natural born citizen.
Obama’s father was a Kenyan citizen at the time of his birth and all times thereafter. Accordingly, he was born with dual citizenship and fails the natural born citizenship requirement. Obama also later became an Indonesian citizen after he was adopted by his step father, Lolo Soetoro. His name was legally changed to Barry Soetoro. It is unclear if or when his legal name was ever changed back to Barack Hussein Obama. I think the NBC issue is of a little more concern than whether the oath was properly recited word for word, but I’m not a Harvard law graduate like Obama and Roberts so what is my opinion worth. And what is the oath worth if the person reciting it didn’t use his actual legal name?

And here’s what’s even MORE VEREEEEEEE INTERESTING, the San Francisco Chronicle story linked on advanceindiana’s webpage NOW HAS ELIMIINATED ANY REFERENCE TO WHAT APPARENTLY WAS PREVIOUSLY IN THE STORY WHICH ADVANCEINDIANA CITED regarding “not being the first” oath misstatement or retake and CHESTER ARTHUR!
Seems the SF Chronicle was first making what they thought was an interesting point, later to learn of the, let’s say, “very inconvenient” (to them) connection.

Did anyone else notice, during the introduction, when Obama was introduced as the “son of an African immigrant”? I’d never seen it covered that Barack’s father was, or ever became, a U.S. Citizen. Wouldn’t he have to be a citizen to be considered an “immigrant”?
[ed. That was wild. Historical revision and today they've wiped the SCOTUS docket clean of our cases. Timing.]
Was this just thrown into the introduction to hype up the African-American crowd?

Just because a burgler steals, does not invalidate the law. That is true. But if the burgler is caught red-handed, and the victim presses charges, and the authorities refuse to proceed with the case – well – that goes a long way to invalidating the law!

[Ed. Here's my 6th round win. I had 4/5 points going into the 6th round and was playing the tournament leader, L. Knight, who had 5/5. It's a Dutch defense. I have the white pieces. I've included some annotations to the game:

1. d4 f5 2. c4 Nf6 3. Nc3 d6 4. Nf3 g6 5. Bd2 Bg7 6. Qc1 h6 7. Qc2 0-0
The chessbase online database has no games with this exact opening. I made it up over the board. There is literally no theory on this. The idea began on move five when I played Bd2 followed by Qc1 creating a battery. The intention is to park my B on h6 after black castles and force the trade of Bishops. Black wants to castle kingside and his dark square bishop on g7 is a very important piece. Black is playing a Leningrad Dutch system and is willing to suffer dark square weaknesses around his king as long as the dark squared B is there patrolling the h8-a1 diagnol. If that bishop is traded, then Black has a much more difficult time defending. The B also turns into a serious attacker if it should come down to an end game. After my Qc1, black must decide whether he’s going to allow this. He can prevent it by playing h6, but then his King side is even weaker and castling that way is more uncomfortable. My move order presents an annoying choice for him — give up the B or play h6. He played h6 and I moved my Queen to c2 since it’s work on c1 is done. He then castled king side and I committed to an attacking game by going queen side with my monarch. I cannot draw this game. I must win and so by castling queen side the charge is sounded.
8. 0-0-0 Ng4
His knight move is premature.
9. Be1 Nc6 10. h3
And the knight must retreat. 10…Nf6 11.e3 Nb4
Again, another premature knight move. These moves look aggressive, but his pieces are not coordinated for an attack and I have plenty of space to manuever. 12. Qb3 a5 13. Nh4 Kh7
If he had played Qe8 to protect g6 then I have Nb5 hitting the c7 pawn and threatening to fork rook and queen.
14. a3
And the other knight must retreat. 14…Na6 15. Bd3 c6 16. g4
And now he’s got some issues.
16…e6 17. R(h)g1

I do agree with everything you say here. I just went googled somethings and I came up with this site. Funny how suddenly they post on the web “Proof” of all of this. So in going to the site listed here:

Food for thought as you are reading ans seeing these “official Documents submited by the Obama campaign ” are these documents “Forged”, of corse not. Do you know why they are not??? Because in order for them to be considered “Forged” they have to obtain false information on a CERTIFIED COPY. These documents submitted are not Certified Copied Documents! Make sense?!!

There are 2 things (being born in Illinois and married there) that I see lack of on this cert First being NO RAISED SEAL! This would show up on a scanned copy of it. Secondly Right under where it reads “Certification of Vital Records” Should also show “COOK COUNTY”.

2. Where is the raised seal on his birth Cert? In order of the cert to be an official copy, it HAS TO HAVE A RAISED SEAL!

Now this article on the web says that they checked it all out, yadda yadda yadda, and there where statement made in regards to the certs submitted and posted, just as I did here. So maybe, my birth cert from Illinois even with the raised seal (along with my 4 childrens birthcerts) are not legit, even though it was the county who cashed my check and sent me the Cert Copies (with raised seals) as well as other vital documents. There are also other things different, but I trust, that there are some who can figure out what the other differences are, especially with the birth cert.
Now on the other hand, I am GREATFULL that Americans are coming around to the awarness that “We are Created Equal”!!!

Yes, and now it is confirmed that Obama took the oath for a 2nd time today, out of an abundance of caution. Makes it all the more interesting that Obama and Chester Arthur were the only presidents to have to take the oath twice.

Oh, and yes, it is said that Calvin Coolidge also took the oath twice. However, the first time the oath was administered to him was by a notary public, who is not constitutionally qualified to administer the oath. So technically, he didn’t legitimately take the oath twice.

Under the 20th Amendment if the President-elect shall have failed to qualify, or alternatively under Article 2 if the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties, at the time fixed for the beginning of the term, being 12:00 Noon 1/20/09, which ability and/or qualification includes that he take the Article 2 oath “before he enter on the execution of his office,” then either the Presidency shall devolve on the Vice President under Article 2 or the Vice President shall act as President under the 20th Amendment. (The importance of the oath in ‘commencing’ an ‘Obama Presidency’ — rather than merely the 1/20/09 Noon time — is confirmed by the re-take of the ‘oath’ by Obama at the White House on 1/21/09 after the first ‘oath’ was NOT administered by Justice Roberts NOR recited by Obama in the words as required under Article 2.)
This is significant because at such time that the Supreme Court finally rules on the merits on Obama’s disqualification as not being an Article 2 “natural born citizen” (clearly he is NOT), Biden’s automatic status (without needing to take a separate Presidential Oath) of being President would be predicated upon four different bases: First, having been Vice President under Article 2; second, having been Vice President-elect under the 20th Amendment; third, having been actual President in the hiatus before Obama took the ‘oath(s)’; and fourth, retroactively deemed President during the full period of the Obama usurpation so that the acts of the Federal Government under the usurpation can be deemed authorized and/or ratified by Biden’s legitimacy.
SECOND QUESTION: Who will be the 45th President?
ANSWER: Hillary Clinton
One must assume that Bill and Hillary Clinton have been aware of all of the above. Biden’s wife recently “let the cat out of the bag” on the Oprah Show that both Biden and Hillary had considered alternatively Veep or Secretary of State, in either case, setting up Hillary to be President on a vote of the Democratic Congress if need be.
THIRD QUESTION: Is Obama an unwitting victim of this troika or a knowing participant?

Leo ~ All the cases are back on. I called SCOTUS & she said they were there. I checked — and they are! They were not last night, nor earlier this AM — then, one hour went by before I called. She said she had no idea why — maybe a glitch or an update, but other denied cases were listed .
Anyway — aLL cases are there: yours, Wrotnowski, Taitz (current) & all of Bergs. She said someone else had called earlier today. Maybe that was the kick-in-the-pants they needed. We need to stay on top of this.

Congrats on your win – to a true Renaissance Man!
Regarding the retaking of the Presidential oath it is interesting to note that Obama’s bible was not “handy” for the retake.
And yes, I agree that Obama is a great public speaker, but only using a teleprompter. (His regular speaking is significantly different, which can be seen in press conferences….full of ums and uhs.)
I think it much more likely that both Roberts and Obama knew it was a false oath and at that time, BHO’s hand was on the Lincoln bible.
I was reading on another blog that the British Nationality Act of 1948/1965 does not allow for expiration of British citizenship (as BHO has claimed his British citizenship had expired on his own website).
Just curious as to your thoughts on that?

I answered my own question about Senator Leahy being in violation of Article 6. In Article 1 section 6 it says that for anything he discusses or debates in the Senate, he can’t be accountable for in any other house. You get me thinking all the time though, thanks for that!

Leo, not that me saying this is going to ‘make your day’ (smile) but I admire you for your atty skills and going after this FRAUD.
